Hello,
Approximately 30 teachers showed up in force last night to support teachers who were addressing the school board and district admin. The speeches were heartfelt and teachers spoke of the overwhelmed feeling we are experiencing with recent demands of testing, lack of curriculum, minimal support, etc. 

Thank you to those who had the courage to speak and to those who stood up behind the speakers in support of our colleagues. Our presence was truly felt and I could not have been more proud of our teachers! 

Next, please make sure that you take a moment to fill out the SGTA Negotiations Survey that was emailed last week! So far 84 teachers have responded, but we would like to hear from everyone! 

Finally, SGTA and Tom Pinkava, CTA Staff Person, will be visiting all sites in February or March. So please make a point to spend some time speaking with us and sharing your thoughts about member concerns.

​Hello SGTA,
All teachers are being asked to attend the SG school board meeting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13.  
Some teachers would like to address the board prior to going into closed session, about feeling overwhelmed with the workload, etc... 
We are requesting that all teachers attend, wear their shirts and stand and support those who are speaking. 

SGTA will host a meet up dinner at Shakeys from 4:00 pm- 5:45 p.m. for those teachers who are planning on attending the board meeting.

It has come to our attention that there are discrepancies in paychecks. Teachers who have a problem with their paychecks to email Gloria Castillo,  from payroll and CC Yolanda and Joyce Yeh.
