- GHS Rep Jocelyn Tan reported on GHS (honored for STEM work in US High Schools), Coolidge, Roosevelt Future of Education Technology Conference (District of Distinction Award in Florida for MIE program), Washington.
- B. ACTION - Accept the 2018-2019 Annual Audit (Business Services). CLA Audit firm presented the results. Net pension liability. Two audit findings related to internal controls. Building fund summaries not documented properly. See report attached. Audit accepted unanimously.
- C. REPORT - Governing Board President Dr. Scott reported from Florida from the Future of Education Technology Conference. Roosevelt to be honored as District of Distinction Award in Florida for MIE program.
- D. REPORT - Acting Superintendent Mr. Symonds congratulated Dr. Scott and Roosevelt for the honor in Florida, recognition of GHS in Newsweek magazine, McKinley named as CA Distinguished School. Visited all winter programs is the district. Congratulated Ms. Shellhart as the AXA Golden Apple Award Winter, recognizing outstanding volunteers in education. January 7th Ed Services team Educational Advisory Committee meeting. Thanked Dr. Perez and Heather Wolpert for their leadership. January 24th Staff Development Day: Cindy Foley as Keynote speaker and presenter on arts education.
- E. PRESENTATION - SGUSD California School Dashboard, Local Indicators 2019-2020 Dr. Perez and Heather Wolpert presented on the SGUSD CA Dashboard updates for 2019. See attached presentation. Ms. Shellhart: Important to communicate the CTE path to all parents, not just EAC representatives. Mr. Ammon: Thanked for the presentation. Easily the most thorough. I like seeing concrete actionable steps. Noted Hispanic dip in scores. Expressed need to support "blue collar" jobs with the emphasis on CTE. Dr. Perez: Will expand partnerships Rio Hondo and ROP. Ms. Hass appreciated clear presentation and need to support all student paths. Dr. Scott noted upward articulation with community colleges.
- F. PRESENTATION - Superintendent Stakeholder Input and Position Profile by San Gabriel Unified, Human Resources Presented by HR Asst. Superintendent Ross Perry. See attached presentation. Conducted stakeholder input meetings and online surveys.12 stakeholder meetings: one for each staff, 3 for parents, and one for EAC parent/community members. Dr. Scott congratulated Mr. Perry on the work conducted thus far.

- D. Dragoo addressed Board to express gratitude for the agreement and noted addition of the health care addition for teachers with 20+ years service who retire between 60-65 for gap insurance. Thank you!
