Attention SGTA Members,

Your SGTA Executive Board and Rep Council would like to thank our school board members for their continued efforts to move this district forward. So please join us prior to the Tuesday, September 10th School Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m. and help us celebrate "New Beginnings!"

There will be brief presentation and reception at 5:45 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you in attendance. There will be cake!

Hi GHS SGTA team,

Prior to board meetings, you will receive an email about notable items. This will serve to keep you informed and give you time to prepare to attend, if interested.

The next board meeting is on Tuesday.

SGTA will be presenting the Board with thank you signs and a cake to thank them for their service. 
In addition to their dedicated years of service, this past year, they listened to SGTA concerns about our previous Superintendent and removed him from the position. 
SGTA is looking forward to a stronger working relationship with the Board in the future and want this reception to set that tone.

Items of note on the Board Agenda include: 
*  New Student board members: Jocelyn Tan (GHS) and Cecilia Venegas (Del Mar).
* Presentation of the Unaudited Actuals by Asst. Sup. Will Wong
*  Approval of Jim Symond's contract addendum, in which he will receive additional compensation while serving in two roles (Acting Superintendent and Asst. Superintendent)
* Approval for the football team to compete with Southwest High School in San Diego.
